Works For Me Wednesday - Pasta with Pesto Sauce

This week the theme for Works For Me Wednesday over at Rocks in My Dryer is Five-Ingredients-or-Less. Since I am all about easy recipes in the summertime (really anytime, but especially during the hot summer months), I'm really excited to see all the great recipes posted. My contribution is Pasta with Pesto Sauce. It's so easy but tastes gourmet. I've served it along with a tossed salad for several lunch gatherings and people rave over it. Hope you enjoy it, too!

Pasta with Pesto Sauce
1 box campanelle pasta, cooked and drained
1 7 oz. container Buitoni pesto with basil (you can also use homemade pesto sauce if you're so inclined)
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 to 1/2 t. garlic powder, to taste (optional)

Mix pesto and Parmesan cheese with hot pasta - toss together. Add garlic powder if desired (pesto has garlic in it, but depending on the recipe/brand, you may like a stronger garlic flavor with your pasta).

This sounds so easy and yummy! Do you ever serve it cold?

Kristin: I have served it cold and it's delicious. I just make sure to mix it up when the pasta is hot. The heat helps to "melt" the pesto so that it coats the pasta better. Hope that helps - enjoy!
