Valentine's Day Recap

Hope everyone had a wonderful Valentine's Day yesterday! It's been a cold and snowy weekend here - perfect for staying warm and cozy inside with my Valentine!

A and I have both been sick which definitely dictated what kind of Valentine's we planned. The bug we've had is a nasty one that doesn't seem to want to let go!! I've had it for a week and a half, although I'm finally starting to feel like I'm on the mend. A came down with it on Thursday so he's still in the thick of it - poor guy. It's affected both of our voices so we sound lovely!

Our Valentine's gift to each other was to purchase the carseat/infant carrier for the baby. For us this was more romantic that buying chocolate, jewelry, or other "stuff" that we just don't need right now. We did venture out in the afternoon to make that purchase and picked up a couple of other things for the baby while we were out.

This is the carseat/infant carrier that we chose.

And here is the bathtub that we bought for the baby. We've had this on our registry for a few weeks but it's on clearance now so we figured we'd go ahead and purchase it ourselves. It was on major markdown, plus we had a coupon for an additional 15% off so we got it for a steal - LOVE when that happens!!

With my bed rest and our colds, we opted to rent a movie and just stay in for the evening. My mom was here early last week and cooked up a storm for us so that the freezer would be well stocked with food for us to eat (this is a MAJOR weight off my shoulders and was so, so helpful in lieu of my bed rest) so we just pulled from that "stash" for our dinner. We watched Madagascar 2 and thought it was cute!

This morning we are taking it easy until it's time for church. I'm taking advantage of the quiet morning and getting 2 of my bed rest hours knocked out and A is still asleep. I hope he wakes up feeling more like himself - it's so hard to watch the people you love be sick. I wish I could just take it away, but I can't. Hopefully in the next few days he'll be feeling much better.

Enjoy your Sunday!!

Laura,
I know what you mean, it's terrible seeing someone you love sick.

How are you feeling? Did all go well at the doc's this week? I'm continuing to pray for you sweet one.

Love the car seat and the bath -- baby stuff is soooooooo fun!!!!!

Have a Blessed week,
Dawn

Feel better soon, Laura. Darling car seat. Lurve the ergonomic handle. My kids' seat didn't have that, and my arm was forever tired! Also, nice subtle colors. Mine was garish. But I loved it all the same, for it carried my precious babes.
